Dr Vinayak V Maka

Dr Vinayak Maka is a senior consultant with an overall experience of 18 years. He is currently associated with Ramaiah memorial hospital and HCG Ramaiah cancer centre as a Senior Consultant medical oncologist and BMT physician. Dr Vinayak has concluded his post-graduation and Super specialty studies from B J Medical College, Ahmedabad. There are multiple indexed publications in varied peer-reviewed journals and poster presentations in national and international conferences by Dr Vinayak.

He has been a prevalent researcher for numerous international Clinical tests. Dr Vinayak has acquired multiple awards and research grants from various professional societies. Dr Maka's areas of expertise include Medical and Paediatric oncology, haemato-oncology and bone marrow transplantation. He is acquainted with analysing and treating all kinds of malignancies and carrying out autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantations. As a part of a Hematopoietic stem cell transplant services team, he was actively involved at Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute, Ahmedabad, which has conducted more than 200 stem cell transplants till date. As an in-house consultant he was involved in setting up the BMT Unit at HCG MSR Cancer centre within a very short span of 10 months, which had an official onset in February 2014. 

 

Dr Vinayak was entitled to work under the guidance of Dr. William Hwang, SGH at Singapore for Advanced BMT and Haematology fellowship for six months hands-on training. There, he acquired vast experience in stem cell transplants for various Haematological diseases like solid tumours, benign blood disorders, and haematological malignancies as well as neurological conditions like multiple sclerosis.
